By Rob Williams
I was able to compare this to the D825MSVivitek D825MS 2600 Lumen SVGA DLP Projector That projector has a nicer black gloss cabinet that I wish this unit had. However the 825MS wins on all other factors.Resolution: The D825MS is SVGA resolution, with 800*600 pixels. For simple powerpoints that would be fine. The D326MX is XGA resolution at 1024 X 768 pixels. If you need to show Excel worksheets the higher resolution is critical (otherwise you are constantly scrolling back and forth, making for a painful meeting or presentation. When I used it for PowerPoints, the Text also looked very sharp.Small Size: The cabinet of the projector is very small. (8.6 inches by 7 by 2.8) This makes it easy to travel with, either in your laptop bag or in the supplied carrying case. The case that the D326 comes with is better quality (padded) and more convenient (it has an inside pocket to store cables) than the D825MS.Quiet: This projector was fairly quiet and less of a distraction than other business projectors that I have used.Keystone Correction: Sometimes you can't put the projector where you want. When you display the image it distorts, creating a trapezoid. This projector did a good job of allowing me to correct for keystoning, without making the images look soft.Wish List: While you can play videos at home on it through the video or S-Video connection, I wish it had an HDMI input for playing DVDs, Blu Ray, or cablebox sources.

By Jeremiah Edwards
This projector is awesome! I wanted a projector that I could use at home to watch movies and also be portable enough to use for presentations. This thing is smaller than I had expected. Extremely portable. It is great for presentations. Can't be beat! This is great for movies too! Obviously, it is not 1080p, but unless you always watch Blu-ray movies, there really is no advantage of a 1080p projector. That much said, my next projector will definitely be Vivitek's 1080p DLP projector. The color is absolutely superb. I project this on my white wall to get about an 8 foot image. I really don't understand why everybody is paying so much money to buy tiny 52" TVs. Honestly, this DLP projector delivers larger, more vivid pictures than any TV I have ever seen. You won't be disappointed. Also, there is an easy to use menu so that you can adjust the contrast, colors, etc. to match your room so that you get a true to life picture.I use this projector in eco mode since that is more than bright enough. In eco mode, the fan sound is not hardly noticeable at all. However, in normal mode, the fan is definitely noticeable. For that reason, I never use normal mode. There is no HDMI port. The VGA port can be used for xga, 720p, etc. There is also a video port that accept only standard definition signals.I don't use the speaker of this projector. I put the sound through my Sony receiver. The result is almost as good as a movie theater.DLP vs. LCD:This DLP projector gives better colors than any LCD projector I have ever seen. The only disadvantage of the DLP projector I have noticed is a small amount of shaking during the credits at the end of a movie. The DLP projectors have difficulty with scrolling words, but I have never noticed any problems during movies or presentations.

By D. Van Horn
I used this projector in the a very well lit room and it performed perfectly. The image was clear and the colors mirrored my screen well with the settings right out of the box.Pros:- Great Value for $600 its worth the money for an XGA.- 3 year warranty- 2500:1 contrast ratio (same for DLP projectors but good compared to LCD projectors)- Portable only weighs 3.2lbs- Instant On/offCons:- 4:3 with no hdmi support- Supports HD but does not have a component video inputThis is a great portable office projector if used for that. This would not be my first choice for tv viewing.
