1Great while it lasted but...
By Waxposse
Right, as I said it was great while it lasted. Unfortunately for me it only lasted 20 minutes! As soon as I received the product I unpacked it and tried my iPOD touch out. Great!! The sound and picture were awesome for such a cheap projector. I watched a music video or two and then turned it off. Next day, I decided to watch a movie through the iPOD touch (2nd Gen running iOS 4.2) with my wife. Inserted the iPOD, turned the projector on and my iPOD says "This accessory is not compatible with your iPOD touch". I tried erasing and reloading the iPOD touch just in case and still nothing. When I turn the projector on I get the splash screen with the Optoma logo but now the projector won't project anything else, not even the menu or when switching inputs! I can hear audio through the speakers but no picture!!! I even tried pressing the picture off button on the remote but this also does not help... I also tried plugging my camera in and the DVD player and I still get nothing projected. This happened at the start of last week so I emailed Optoma Customer Support AND Technical Support. Still no reply. To be honest, if there is no reply next week I'm sending it back to Amazon and buying another manufacturers projector. If they do reply and fix the problem then I will most definitely increase the review to 4 stars at least... we'll wait and see what happens...UPDATE: Product returned after trying to email Optoma Help several times with no reply I returned the projector and bought one from a different company. It was a shame too as, for the short time it did work, it seemed like a great iece of equipment!! This means it stays at the 1 star rating (for the most important thing - customer service)... 5 stars to Amazon's customer service for being so helpful though!

5Great Multi-Use projector
By RJ
The NEOi is a great lightweight projector to entertain the kids or to share pictures and videos. I'm one of the few without an iPod or iPhone so I'm probably not the target market for this projector but I have found many uses for it.When necessary to move the kids to another room we connect a DVD player to the HDMI input and let them project a movie on the basement wall. This keeps the children entertained for hours. We have also used the NEOi to project from a camcorder and digital camera to share family photos and videos. The sound system is good but lacks powerful bass and the image is bright enough to display videos and photos on a pull down shade in the kitchen (about a 30" diagonal image). You will need to turn down the lights to enjoy saturated colors and details. In the basement, in a very dark setting the image size can be rather large (60") with great color and detail. The Good - portable, easy connection with HDMI, VGA sources and iPods/iPhones. No bulb to burn out since this is an LED projector. Good image quality in a dark room. Much less expensive than a standard projector. The not so good - this is not a standard projector so it is not meant for using in a room with high ambient light. This product is a winner for projecting videos, photos and other information from portable electronics and DVD players.

4A few shortcomings
By Perplexer
GREAT projector for the price!Pros:LED projection means no expensive bulbs to replaceFan is very quietAmple speakerHDMI, VGA, and composite inputsComponent input works through a VGA -> component adapter!Tends to keep focus better than the Optoma PT100-PT105 models.Cons:Remote range VERY poor (could just be my unit)NO vertical flip option! This is standard on their lesser (PT100, PT105) projectors. This means no ceiling mount and limited mount options. No keystone adjustment (understandable on a low-cost unit)Overall, good picture and sound quality for your non-high-definition content!
